Riverside Paddle & Stay
This is our all-inclusive 2 day option designed to provide a seamless and stress-free experience, allowing us to handle every detail for you. We offer convenient transfers to and from Didcot Parkway station, though guests are welcome to drive if they prefer. During your stay, you’ll have access to our craft, the guidance of either Louise or James, and comfortable accommodation in our Nordic tipis.
The package also includes four thoughtfully prepared meals, crafted from sustainably sourced, fresh ingredients, ensuring you’re well-fuelled for your adventure.
Our journeys typically start upstream of the picturesque village of Clifton Hampden, where we set off on the Thames before temporarily branching onto the Thame. This scenic route leads us to Riverside, where your experience shifts from being *on* the river to being *by* the river.

Upon arrival, you’ll have the chance to unwind in our serene surroundings. A refreshing hot shower awaits, followed by a delicious evening meal cooked over an open fire. Prior to your trip, we’ll provide a sample menu to ensure your preferences are met. Every dish is crafted using fresh, sustainably sourced ingredients, reflecting our commitment to both quality and the environment.
Relax and Recharge at Riverside
As the evening unfolds, take the opportunity to relax under the stars by the fire, share stories with fellow guests, or simply soak in the soothing sounds and sights of the riverside. When the time comes, retreat to your cozy tipi for a restful night’s sleep, ready to wake up refreshed and rejuvenated.
Continuing the Adventure: A Scenic Journey Downstream
Following a peaceful night at Riverside and a wholesome breakfast featuring eggs from our own hens, we’ll continue our journey downstream along the Thame. Eventually, we’ll rejoin the Thames as we head toward the charming historic town of Wallingford—or beyond, depending on your preferences.
A Seamless End to Your Adventure
At the conclusion of your journey, a vehicle will be waiting to transport you back to your car, return you to Riverside, or take you to Didcot Parkway station, ensuring a smooth and stress-free transition for your journey home.
Every detail of your trip is designed to offer a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and convenience, leaving you with lasting memories of your time on the water.
Sample Itinerary
Day 1:
10:00: Arrive Didcot Parkway Station (or designated parking if travelling by car) Transfer to River Entry Point. (Personal luggage transported to Riverside).
11.00 Bankside briefing and start of journey downstream on Thames.
12.30 Stop for hamper lunch on the riverbank.
13.30 Continue journey downstream to join River Thame and head upstream to Riverside.
16.00 Arrive Riverside and settle into Tipi Accommodation.
Downtime to shower, relax by the river or explore the local area.
18.00 Drinks and three-course meal cooked and prepared over the wood fire by hosts. Relax by the fire. Enjoy sounds of the river and stargazing if weather allows.
Day 2:
9.00 Enjoy a healthy breakfast cooked over the wood fire.
10.30 Depart Riverside and paddle downstream to meet the Thames.
12.30 Stop for hamper lunch on the riverbank.
13.30 Continue downstream on the Thames.
16.00 Arrive at journey end point. Transfer to Didcot Parkway Station (or parked car).
*We are pleased to offer a condensed version of this experience during the summer months, designed for guests who may wish to join us after work on a Friday.
The itinerary remains consistent with the full experience, with the exception of an early evening arrival at Didcot Parkway Station.
